Following the release of the 2023/2024 undergraduate admission list by the University of Ghana, an SHS graduate has taken to social media to express his disappointment over the program offered to him.

This left him wondering why he was offered his third choice program, especially considering that the cutoff score for the program he was given was between 20 and 24.
“I had 11 and was on my third program, how come a course was meant for people with grade 20 and 24.Wey country this,” read his message

He made this disclosure in response to a message from Voice of Legon clarifying that applicants with D7 in any of the core subjects were not eligible for admission to the university.

The unnamed graduate's concerns were made public by Voice Of KNUST, the university's unofficial mouthpiece, in a post on X.
It shared a screenshot of a message from the SHS graduate trying to find out why he was denied admission despite scoring a total of 12 in the WASSCE.
