Akeredolu versus Aiyedatiwa: 'How Tinubu resolved the political crisis in Ondo State'

The Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has revealed how his director waded into and resolved the political crisis in Ondo State.

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Olusegun revealed that Tinubu had invited key stakeholders to end the simmering crisis between Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa.

According to him, the political deadlock will be a thing of the past after the president's intervention.

He wrote: “Like a sage who is no stranger to reconciliation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last night at the State House waded into the political crisis in Ondo State.

“The President invited key stakeholders within the state APC, together with the National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, to end the simmering crisis of confidence between Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

“For a number of reasons, the problems between the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, and his deputy had worsened to the extent that the President felt the need to intervene.

“During the meeting with President Tinubu, key actors in the crisis were, Deputy Governor Aiyedatiwa, Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, Speaker Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Oladiji Olamide and other government and party officials.

“It can be safely assumed that the political deadlock will soon be a thing of the past.

“Recall that the President, then the flag-bearer of the All Progressive Congress, took time during the campaign process to suppress issues between members of the party in the states he visited.
