Emeka Rollas, National Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has revealed that veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor is completely paralyzed and needs immediate help.
Mr. Rollas revealed this in a recent interview with Vanguard while giving an update on the health of another actor, Mr. Ibu.
According to the AGN President, who recently visited Muonagor at the Intensive Care Unit of the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi with some of his colleagues, the actor's health is dire as he is now a shadow of his former self. Rollas stated: '
“You will shed tears when you see Amaechi Muonagor now, his legs are completely paralyzed. “I call on all fans and well-wishers of the actor to join hands with other philanthropic Nigerians to support him at this difficult time.”
Emeka Rollas revealed on Instagram that he has approved the transfer of N250,000 from the AGN Trust Fund to the ailing actor's account, which he said will be insufficient considering Muonagor's records with the Guild HMO and insurance policy.
Rollas, on the other hand, urged young actors to apply for the AGN HMO and insurance programs.
Amaechi's health condition was made public on November 3 after a video of him begging for money went viral.
The actor revealed that he had suffered a stroke in the past seven months and needed financial help.
