For the second time in November American hip-hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs has been taken to court on charges of sexual assault.
The plaintiff in the current lawsuit, Joi Dickerson-Neal, alleged in documents seen by TMZ that Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1991 when she was a student at Syracuse University in New York.
Neal claimed she had a date with the rapper at a restaurant in Harlem and he took her to a recording studio. She further stated that he may have given her medication during dinner because when she tried to get out of his car, she was barely conscious and could not stand on her feet.
She claimed that Diddy took her to a place where he sexually assaulted her after they left the studio. She added that the entertainment mogul filmed the act and showed it to other viewers.
The complainant filed the claim Thursday under New York's Adult Survivors Act, which gives victims of sexual assault a one-year window within which to file a civil suit — even after the statute of limitations has expired. The one-year period ends on Friday, November 24, 2023.
The claims have been refuted by Diddy's rep, who called the lawsuit “a cash grab.”
