BECE: Odumprala MA celebrates as student who secured a total of 11 points gets admission into Presec

The Odumprala Municipal Assembly Basic School has honored one of its students after he was admitted to attend the second cycle of education at the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (Presec).

The Greater Accra Region school announced this achievement in a Facebook post where it shared the placement form of the intelligent student.

The slip revealed that the boy with a total of 11 and a raw score of 293 in the BECE General Science would go on to study at the Legon-based school.

“It's been a long time. One of our best BECE students has fought his way into one of the best SHS in Ghana (PRESEC, LEGON). He has been offered GENERAL SCIENCE. Best news yet for us, ” read the message.

Ghanaians congratulate the young boy

Many people who gathered in the comments section of the post praised the boy for excelling in the BECE.

He also called for more public education on how school placements are conducted.

“To raise awareness among students and parents about the fair and unbiased school placement process, and ensure that they understand the criteria and procedures involved. Involve the public in discussions about the school placement process, seeking feedback and suggestions to improve the fairness and effectiveness of the system to improve,” he added.

Boy from Lil Win's school gets Prempeh College

Lil Win, in a Facebook post, shared photos of the BECE result and placement slip of missing boy prefect, Aduboffour Oheneba Boateng, who passed the exam with flying colors.

The intelligent JHS graduate's placement form revealed that he was admitted to the prestigious Prempeh College to offer general sciences.
