Ben Murray Bruce, ex-Senator of Bayelsa and CEO of Silverbird group, lambasts the Nigerian Labor Congress’s decision to immobilize the nation as a result of their ruthless treatment towards President Joe Ajaero.
Nevertheless, Bruce denounced the union’s strategy, asserting that a nationwide strike due to a regional issue wasn’t beneficial for Nigeria.
The previous senator implied the union’s intent to strike could potentially impede the economic progress of the administration led by President Bola Tinubu.
“Launching a nationwide strike due to a regional controversy in Imo is not the answer for Nigeria at the moment. The adjustments are showing progress. The Naira is responding to such adjustments. A considerable number of banks have been yielding record-breaking profits. The manufacturing sector has started to adjust, implying job creation. Shaking up the system currently won’t serve the national interest. We must contemplate beyond our personal interests and our partners. Nigeria cannot crumble because of the situation in Imo,” conveyed Bruce through a tweet.
