The Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Akinloye Bankole, has stated that the party has no intention of supporting Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.
The PDP leader said this while responding to the call by the All Progressives Congress (APC) asking the PDP to join hands with the governor.
During an interview with Punch, Bankole stressed that the APC call was an insult.
He warned the ruling party to bury thoughts of merger as the PDP candidate, Ladi Adebutu, does not expect the Abiodun government to do anything for the people.
He said: “We have repeatedly told them that Dapo Abiodun and his band of handlers should bury that thought. It's an insult. Ladi Adebutu in Ogun State does not expect the Dapo Abiodun administration to do anything for the people. He is a well-known philanthropist. It has been known for some time that he does that. No right-thinking person in the state will consider Dapo Abiodun as an option.
