A 37-year-old Assistant Nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, who was arrested by the police in connection with the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has been remanded in custody by the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court, Yaba.
There are claims that the nurse gave the late singer some injections that led to his death.
The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, also ordered that Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, who was also detained as a suspect in the case, be returned to the police custody.
The magistrate, however, granted bail of N20 million to each of Mohbad’s ex-boss, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, who were also involved in the death of Mohbad. and taken into police custody on October 6.
The magistrate said: “The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are hereby granted bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties in the like amount, pending the legal advice of the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
“One of the guarantors must also be the owner of a piece of land. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants must surrender their passports and appear weekly before the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
Olatunbosun also warned that no one should contact her directly regarding the matter.
“Any attempt to contact me directly would be recorded and possibly disclosed in a public legal proceeding,” she added.

According to the police, investigations into the matter are still ongoing and therefore Olatunbosun has adjourned the matter to November 29 for DPP advice.
