High Court Declines Atiku’s Appeal to Offer Fresh Evidence

The High Court made a ruling on Thursday, denying Atiku Abubakar’s plea to submit a newly discovered document from the tenure of President Bola Tinubu at Chicago State University as fresh evidence.

John Okoro, who presides over the panel, announced that they had declined the appellant’s request.

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), showed up at the High Court to bear witness to the verdict regarding the 2023 presidential elections.

As a significant figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and an associate of President Bola Tinubu, the minister is present at the High Court to learn the outcome of appeals lodged against the president’s election.

The High Court’s seven-member panel head, Justice Inyang Okoro, has come to court and acknowledged the attorneys in attendance.

Representing the Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) is Abdullahi Aliyu, while Chris Uche Atiku speaks for Abubakar and the PDP, Akintola Makinde stands in for Tinubu, and Olumide Olujinmi is there on behalf of the APC.
