Davido reportedly paid N5 billion to headline Unitedmasters' Grammy weekend concert

David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, will headline the highly anticipated UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert despite the recent controversy surrounding him.

Ahead of the 66th Academy Grammy Awards, which will take place on Sunday, February 4 at the Crypto Com Arena in Los Angeles, the music platform UnitedMasters is offering a Grammy weekend.

On this esteemed occasion, South Africa-based DJ artist Uncle Waffles and Dominican rapper Tokischa will share the spotlight with Davido.

The Hollywood Palladium will host the performance on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Last year, more than 2,500 people attended the event, including Future, Damson Idris, DJ Khaled, Jay Z and Beyonce, Nas and Wiz Khalifa.

With the release of his comeback album Timeless, which has racked up over a billion plays, Davido's profile has skyrocketed.

The singer's new album had raised his profile and led to a Grammy nomination. Timeless received three nominations at the 2024 Grammys for Best Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Global Music Album.
