Famed Nollywood makeup artist specializing in special effects, Hakeem Ajibola, who goes by the name Hakeem Effect, narrowly dodged a kidnapping attempt whilst traversing Ikenne, Ogun State.
Deeply thankful for his safe escape and life, Hakeem recounted how his driver, Legba, was shot from close proximity as bullets rained down during the assault.
During his narration, he said: ‘I’m thankful to God for my life, and the lives of my team. We were ambushed by kidnappers less than half an hour ago, shortly after Ikenne. They opened fire on us, shattered the glass, people were kidnapped…but I’m thankful to God for my survival. I’m thankful that my driver (Legba) survived being shot from close quarters, bullets were flying everywhere, but God was our shield. My staff, my wife and I, we’re all still alive.’
