Borno Governor Babagana Zulum has described his late spokesperson, Malam Isa Gusau, as an extraordinary professional who discharged his duties with transparency and unwavering support.
Zulum added that the state has lost a solid professional who was dedicated to promoting the image of the state in his condolence statement, which was released in Maiduguri on Friday.
“Malam Isa Gusau was admired by all for his commitment to the people of Borno and his exceptional professionalism in discharging his role.
“He was a tireless advocate for the state and worked tirelessly to convey the government's initiatives and policies to the public clearly and transparently,” Zulum said.
“Isa Gusau will be remembered for his passion for serving the people of Borno and his commitment to the betterment of the state,” the governor said.
Zulum expressed his sadness at the loss of a dedicated and beloved team member.
According to NAN, Gusau died in an Indian hospital on Thursday after a long illness.
Before serving as Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy to Borno's then Governor Kashim Shettima and later Governor Zulum, he was employed by the Daily Trust newspaper. He held this position until his death.
Gusau lives with 2 wives and 3 children.
