Dismissing the allegations about his dwindling health, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu confidently reassured Nigerians in a media statement, affirming his robust health.
Unsubstantiated reports had suggested that Tinubu urgently traveled overseas for healthcare needs, following his nocturnal departure and subsequent touchdown in France.
“My health is robust and I’m very sturdy”, Tinubu reassured the Nigerians.
Despite the All Progressives Congress (APC) stating unequivocally that the President-elect was merely vacationing for stress relief post-election, some interested parties have expressed doubts about his location and health status.
Shortly after touching down in Abuja on Monday, Tinubu talked to some party colleagues, emphasizing that he had a good night’s rest and felt rejuvenated for the upcoming challenges.
Addressing the gathering that trailed him home, the President-elect stated:
“I’m elated to be home. I’ve taken some rest, I’m rejuvenated and fit, and am ready for the work ahead. Ignore any unverified information you might have heard. I am strong, extremely strong.”
President-Elect Bola Tinubu makes his return to Nigeria
President-Elect Bola Tinubu has made his way back to Nigeria, touching down in Abuja this evening.
Tinubu’s homecoming was verified by his Media and Publicity Director, Bayo Onanuga.
He was welcomed at the Abuja International Airport by the newly elected Vice President Kashim Shettima along with some state governors.
Moreover, the APC’s Presidential Campaign Council Media Director, Bayo Onanuga, established his return with a video posted on Twitter.
Bayo shared a video of Tinubu disembarking a plane and captioned it: “Jagaban arrives in Abuja!”
This puts an end to weeks of conjecture surrounding his health and location.
