I Regret Rejecting Wizkid’s Offer to Join Rapper Phenom Record Label

Nigerian hip-hop artiste, Phenom has expressed regret for not accepting a recording contract from Grammy Award-winning singer and CEO of Starboy Entertainment, Wizkid years ago.

Phenom announced this during the latest episode of the General Terms and Conditions podcast.

He lamented that his career would have taken a more positive trajectory had he accepted to join Wizkid’s label.

He said, “He (Wizkid) approached me at one point. We had great chemistry. He said he wanted me on his team. He said he and I wanted to work on my album. But I had a label. I’m so loyal. And I remember asking my mom what’s on the floor and my mom said, ‘No. You signed with these people, finish your contract with them.” That’s it, mehn.

“The only thing I regret is the fact that I was in a fast life at the time, so I could have crashed. So I see it as a blessing too, because I don’t know what would have happened. But when I look at it I think, ‘Damn! I should have accepted Wizkid’s deal.”
