I want to go under the knife, but… – Teni talks about wanting to undergo liposuction

Teniola Apata, also known as Teni, a popular Nigerian musician, has denied having undergone liposuction (weight loss surgery).

The ‘Uyo Meyo’ crooner expressed concern that despite her efforts to lose weight and slim down, some blamed it on surgical treatment.

Teni claimed in an edition of the Zero Condition podcast that she went on a ‘strict diet’ for two months to achieve her current body.

The 30-year-old stated that if she had surgery, she would now have a flat stomach, and her managers can attest to her weight-loss plan.

Teni said:

“I’ve been through a lot. I have experienced many changes. I’m losing weight and a few unhappy people said I had surgery.

“If I were to have surgery, my stomach will be flat. I wanted to, but I was afraid. Surgery is not easy. It’s life-threatening. It’s not easy going under the knife. I was on a strict diet. Ask my managers. No carbs. I followed a strict diet for two months.

“But it taught me discipline. The mind is also a muscle. The way you bend your arms, discipline helps you bend your mind. It was not easy. Do you know what it means to me to take people out to eat and I can’t eat what they eat?

“I made the decision to lose weight after surviving the life-threatening COVID-19. I’ve had COVID-19 twice; 2020 and 2021. So in January 2022, after the COVID-19, I just said, “Omo, it’s time (to lose weight).”
