Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, famously known as Kizz Daniel, a Nigerian vocalist, refutes speculations regarding his supposed incarceration in Ivory Coast.
Kizz Daniel clarified the situation via his Instagram profile in the early morning of Saturday, asserting that the circulated stories were false and unfounded.
In his declaration, the singer of ‘Buga’ exposed that the event hosts didn’t meet their contractual obligations.
Regardless of the circumstances, Kizz Daniel insisted that he performed voluntarily at the venue without receiving any payment.
His post read: ‘This situation could potentially put many people in hot waters, but enough is enough. CAF didn’t engage with us directly, but instead through a representative.
The representative confirmed my agreement stating ‘no payment, no show.’
I consented to travel despite numerous calls and apologies for the bank transfer delay, with the assurance that I would get the payment once I arrive in Abidjan.
No payment has been made up to now, not even the agreed amount. Despite the circumstances, I opted to support CAF by performing at the venue without receiving payment, but unfortunately I did not get to perform for more than three minutes.
“My team was assaulted backstage and I decided it was time to leave. The CAF has neither arrested nor detained me.”
