An American man, MrBeast, also known as James Stephen 'Jimmy' Donaldson, took on an extreme challenge by burying himself alive in a custom-made coffin for seven consecutive days.
This stunt was intended to break his own previous record of 50 hours, which he had undertaken two years ago to raise awareness about deforestation.
In a video shared on his Youtube ChannelMrBeast was shown wearing a suit, white shirt and tie, holding a bouquet of red roses as he prepared to be buried under 20,000 pounds of earth for an entire week.
The 25-year-old philanthropist said it was the “scariest thing” he had ever tried.
The specially designed crate contained provisions for food and water to sustain MrBeast during the challenge, but also significantly restricted his freedom of movement.
Cameras and lights were installed in the coffin to keep him under constant surveillance as he communicated with friends above ground via walkie-talkies.
As the week progressed, MrBeast faced physical challenges, including back pain from lying down for long periods of time, leading to concerns about possible blood clots.
However, he emphasized that the main struggle was mental, with moments of emotional distress that his friends tried to alleviate with humor.
Despite the risks, MrBeast successfully completed the 7-day burial challenge and was eventually exhumed.
In a video capturing the moment, he said he felt a rush of blood when he stood up for the first time
MrBeast ended the video with a warning to viewers: “Please don't try this at home, lol.”
