Oloruntimilehin Bosede Bukola, popularly known as Kiitan Bukola, is a Nigerian film actress who has raised many questions after she appeared to deny that she owns a house worth millions of naira that the government demolished few months ago.
After the Lagos State government demolished houses in Lekki in October, Kiitan took to social media to express her protest.
In a video she posted, a psychologically exhausted Kiitan expressed her shock at finally experiencing Nigeria.
In response to the heartbreaking news, her senior colleague Iyabo Ojo even made her an accommodation offer.
The movie star in a recent interview sidestepped the topic of who owned the property worth over N500 million that was damaged during demolition.
Instead of giving a direct answer, Kiitan Bukola cunningly made it clear that she had never claimed ownership of the land.
She said she simply said Nigeria had crossed her mind, indicating her awareness of the suffering of others. Furthermore, she claimed that she created the post as a distraction from her demanding work schedule. In part, Kiitan stated:
“First of all, in the video I posted, did I say a word in it? I never said that I bought a N500 million house. I just said Nigeria happened to me, demolition. I never said the house was mine. If the house was mine, would people who weren't close to me know? You don't know what I have or don't have. I posted the video so that the people I worked for would know that I was going through a difficult time.”
