President-elect Tinubu, on his 71st birthday, urges Nigerians to pray and express gratitude

On the occasion of his 71st birthday, President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has encouraged Nigerians to engage in “special prayers and thanksgiving” this Wednesday, March 29, replacing the customary Birthday Colloquium.

These special prayers will occur in Lagos and across the Nation.

The president-elect’s office issued a statement on Monday, outlining that for the main event in Lagos, special prayers will be held at the Central Mosque in each of the city’s five districts, one such being Central Mosque, Alausa, Ikeja.

The prayer sessions will include special pleas for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and advancement.

Among others expected to be prayed for are President Muhammadu Buhari and First Lady Aisha Buhari, President-elect Tinubu and his spouse, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Vice President-elect Senator Kashim Shettima and Hajia Nana Shettima, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu and his fellow governors, as well as members of the National and State Houses of Assembly.
