The 2023 National Science and Mathematics Quiz’s initial stage has commenced and educational institutions are securing their slots in the ensuing round of the contest.
Greater Accra Region’s Achimota School has emerged as the victor in an initial 2023 National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ).
They’ve won against Notre Dame Girls’ SHS and St. Francis Girls’ SHS, thus proceeding to the subsequent level of the challenge.

On X, a message was shared, prior to the declaration of Achimota School’s victory on Twitter, presenting the score of three contenders.
Achimota School recorded 60 points. Notre Dame Girls’ SHS and St. Francis Girls’ SHS scored 41 and 17 points respectively.
The message stated: “Impressive work by Achimota School. Congratulations and we’ll see you in the following round.”

In a different preliminary round, Wesley Girls High School came out on top against St Peters Boys and Louis Rutten SHS.
Wesley Girls team claimed victory with 52 points, while St Peters came second with 37 points and Louis Rutten SHS ended up with 19 points.

On Saturday, July 15, the school representatives outperformed Abuakwa State College and St. Peter’s Boys Senior High School by 32 points in the concluding regional match.
