Prempeh College has responded to the loss their city competitor, Opoku Ware School (OWASS), faced in the National Science and Mathematics Quiz’s finale.

The five-time winner commented alongside a photo that OWASS’s loss to Presec wasn’t unexpected.
The commentary added that the effort to stop OWASS from making it to the finals was designed to protect them from embarrassment.
Furthermore, it reminded OWASS that their 21-year absence from owning an NSMQ trophy continues.
“The perspective of an elder, sitting, cannot be compared to the view of a youngster, standing. OWASS’s participation in the finals was doomed to disaster. Despite our attempts to steer them clear of this predicament, their arrogance blinded them from seeing the reality. Having not won a trophy for over twenty years and having only two wins from ten finals is a terrible record. Stay alert,” the commentary said.
By the close of the finals, Presec carried home the trophy with 40 points; Achimota School came in second with 28 points, while OWASS ranked third with 23 points.
