President Bola Tinubu held a meeting with stakeholders in Ondo state government on Friday evening.
The meeting took place at the President Villa, Abuja to address the political crisis in the state.
Following President Tinubu's intervention in the political crisis, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ade Adetimehin, has vowed to enforce the resolutions.
This decision maintains Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in their current roles, while the leadership of the State Executive and the House of Representatives remain unchanged.
Adetimehin praised President Tinubu's role in ending the months-long political struggle.
He expressed satisfaction over the resolution and emphasized the APC's commitment to ensuring compliance with the new agreements.
The APC chairman said: “Today is my happiest moment. And I know that sanity has come to Ondo State. So, on behalf of the many supporters of our party in the state, we appreciate our leader, Mr. President.
“PDP has crumbled in the state; pretty much, they camp every day. The only problem we have is the one you solved for us today. And that problem has been definitively solved.”
Deputy Governor Aiyedatiwa pledged cooperation with state commissioners and officials during the negotiations.
Similarly, the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, thanked President Tinubu for restoring peace and ensuring unity within the APC in Ondo State.
She said: “Our father, the President, took pains to settle our grudge in Ondo State. We owe you every gratitude, sir. We will not disappoint you. We recorded every word you said. And we are going home as one united family under the party, APC.”
