The National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has conveyed its congratulations to the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, on the occasion of his 49th birthday.
In a statement released on Sunday through the party's National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the PDP commended the Governor of Rivers State, describing him as a humble, intelligent and visionary leader who represents the collective aspirations of the people of his state.
The PDP commended Governor Fubara's leadership capacity, especially in swiftly implementing impactful development programs and projects in line with the party's vision and manifesto.
The statement added: “On this special day, the PDP congratulates Governor Fubara and prays to God to continue to protect him and keep him in good health, sanity and vitality in the service of humanity.”
Likewise, the PDP Governors Forum congratulated the governor on this auspicious occasion.
In a separate communiqué made available to journalists by the Director General of the forum, Cyril Maduabum, on Sunday, the state leaders expressed that the governor, together with his family, friends and indeed all the people of Rivers State, extended their sincere expressing appreciation to God Almighty for his existence, well-being and sagacity in running the affairs of the state in Rivers.
It added: “The Forum beautifully celebrates His Excellency's victory at the Supreme Court on January 25, 2024, a unique anniversary gift that the environment has created to realize his vision.
“We are proud to mention his immediate initiatives upon assuming office as Governor of Rivers State, through life-impacting projects in the areas of education, trade and investment, government employment, improved worker welfare, healthcare, SME financing, security, and safety – a healthy transformation strategy for impactful service delivery.
“This progress is also felt in the construction and rehabilitation of roads connecting many local governments, and in urban renewal, youth and women empowerment, among others.
“The Forum acknowledges its wisdom in insisting on a peaceful atmosphere in Rivers State, a prerequisite for social upliftment and economic growth.
“The Forum assures him of our unalloyed support at all times as he presides over the affairs of the state.”
