Social media is awash with photos and clips from the funeral service of Ayodeji Balogun’s (popularly known as Wizkid) late mother.
Juliana Balogun, birth name Oshineye Dawodu Olowosago, tragically passed away on August 18, a fact that is now being recalled.
Earlier, a video showcasing a grief-stricken Wizkid and his family, holding candles in commemoration of the demised, spread across the internet.
Currently the deceased’s wake and tribute ceremony, happening at the Federal Palace Hotel and Casino in Victoria Island, Lagos, is being attended by Wizkid’s family.
The main funeral service has been scheduled for Friday, October 13, at RCCG City of David COD Church Road in Victoria Island, Lagos, beginning at 10 AM.
Born July 26, 1990, in Lagos’ Surulere region, Wizkid was raised in a multi-religious, polygamous family – his father being Muslim and his mother a Christian. His father had three wives.
Wizkid’s mother often made appearances at most of his concerts and events.
Born July 14, 1957, she is survived by her husband, MO Balogun, and her four children: Yetunde Balogun, Omolara Osunkoya, Olubusayo Balogun, Ayodeji Balogun (Wizkid) along with a host of grandkids.
