The Governors of Zamfara, Bauchi, Kano and Plateau States have arrived at the High Court in the capital of Abuja, Nigeria.
At least seven current governors inaugurated on May 29, 2023 and elected in March last year are expected to face trial over their gubernatorial elections, with Supreme Court decisions expected soon.
As they wait for the Supreme Court judges to arrive and deliver their rulings, Governors Abba Yusuf (Kano), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi) and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara) are already in court with their lawyers.
Everyone is eagerly waiting for the five-member panel of judges to arrive in a few minutes, and the courtroom is extremely crowded.
Simon Lalong, the former governor of Plateau State, is present in the courtroom.
