The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has said President Bola Tinubu is a very compassionate person.
The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of APC in the state, Tony Okocha, said this during a visit to a motherless baby home and old age home in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
He asserted that it is possible to have a government that is passionate about the less privileged.
Okocha told journalists: “We are in the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who the world knows as a very compassionate person. And of course, here in the state, that has filtered down to us as leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State. We have consciously tried to share with the needy homes, the homes of the elderly and motherless babies as well.”
Okocha said the visit of the party to the needy homes would rekindle their hopes.
He further said: “We must show that there can be a government that has compassion for the less privileged. And we also pray that if we have the opportunity to take charge and take control of the government, we will do better.”
He advised the well-to-do in the state to extend their helping hands to the people in the old age homes as well as the motherless baby homes.
