“The Yoruba tribe where Mohbad came from can only shout, after shouting they move on” – Nigerian woman says

A video has surfaced of a Nigerian woman criticizing the Yoruba tribe in the context of late singer Mohbad's case. She opined that the Yoruba tribe has a tendency to make noise without taking effective action to achieve results.

Using the Mohbad case as an example, she expressed her disappointment at the calm of those who claimed to seek justice for Mohbad, especially within the Yoruba tribe and the Yoruba celebrities who initiated justice for Mohbad's case.

She drew a comparison between her own tribe and the Yoruba people, suggesting that if it were in Anambra or Benin, they would not tolerate such injustice and would take matters into their own hands to ensure justice rather than trust on the police.

Part of her statement reads: “The Yoruba tribe, where MohBad came from, tends to be loud. However, after their loud protests, they tend to move on. If it was my tribe in Anambra or Benin, chaos would break out if they treated ours this way.

We would not wait for justice from the police. How can you claim that the CCTV footage in Mohbad's house is broken? If the Nigerian police can provide the suspects, we would conduct a traditional cleansing ceremony. This issue can only be resolved through traditional means.”

In a related development, online personality and social media activist, Verydarkman, has called on the Nigerian Police to take necessary action by arresting the wife of the late Mohbad, Omowunmi Aloba.

Verydarkman claims that Mohbad's wife holds crucial information about the circumstances of Mohbad's death. He claimed that Mohbad had been unwell for two days and needed urgent medical attention. However, instead of seeking immediate medical attention, his wife decided to leave him at home and called a nurse from Cotonou.

Verydarkman revealed that on the day Mohbad's friends were seen in a car announcing his death, Mohbad's wife was present in the same vehicle but remained silent. Instead, she took to social media to air her grievances.

In his words: “Right now, the Nigerian police must arrest Mohbad's wife. How is it possible that a celebrity who was constantly harassed had CCTV cameras in his house, but they were never connected? It's nonsense.”
