Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 elections, has urged Nigerians to come together and fight against those he described as the evil leaders of the country.
The activist called on citizens to fire the bad leaders in the nation.
Sowore shared his grievances via his X account on Wednesday
The activist lamented the increasing hardship in the country.
The AAC flagbearer wondered how people in Nigeria can survive on a salary of just N30,000.
He wrote: “I ask again and again: how can persons (Nigerians) who receive NGN30,000 live on it?
“How would they pay for transportation to work or anywhere with N30,000 per month and then feed, buy medicines and pay school fees for children?
“How could people even survive under these conditions? These evil leaders who live on your backs must be fired! #RevolutionNow ORGANIZE, NO MORE!
ECOWAS Marathon 2023: Omoyele Sowore calls on President Tinubu
Meanwhile, Sowore has called out President Bola Tinubu for showing no sign of participating in the 2023 ECOWAS Abuja International Marathon.
Sowore stated this after collecting his running kits and bib numbers for the tournament held on Saturday, December 16, in Abuja.
The tournament is divided into two categories: the 5km fun race starting at 7:30 am on Saturday at Bannex Plaza, and the half marathon starting at 7:00 am in front of the ECOWAS Secretariat. The two events will culminate at Eagles Square in Abuja.
President Tinubu is the Chairman of ECOWAS, a fact that motivated Omoyele Sowore to urge him to lead by example by participating in one of the categories of the tournament.
Sowore commended ECOWAS for the marathon project, calling it “the best thing anyone can do” by embracing fitness and the running community.
He added that he was now a 'better person' and that his health had improved significantly since he started jogging.
The activist politician did not stop there. He further lamented President Tinubu's inability to signal his intention to participate in the half marathon or the fun 5km race.
As of now, there is no sign of his (Tinubu) bib or participation. We cannot hold the ECOWAS Marathon in Nigeria without the chairman of the sub-regional body participating,” Omoyele Sowore told reporters.

According to him, if President Tinubu actively encouraged running and participated in the ECOWAS Marathon, many Nigerians would be inspired to follow suit, thereby improving the health of the country and perhaps saving the government money on medical expenses saved.
