Advocate Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, the head of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, appeals to Nigerians to wait for the Supreme Court’s final verdict on President Bola Tinubu’s certificate controversy.
Mumuni stated in his remarks, that the media is currently oversaturated with blame and rebuttals.
The former gubernatorial candidate of the now-dissolved Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) in Lagos State, called on Nigerians to rest the issue and let the Supreme Court rule on the legal standing of the case.
He stated: “Prudence is needed. We should avoid further unnecessary remarks and counter-reactions. We have to tread carefully to avoid violating the law. The decision on the certificate’s legitimacy lies in the hands of the judges. Such distractions are irrelevant.
“I’ve gone through several analyses and heard various podcasts from unique perspectives on the academic qualifications of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We need to steer clear of this circus.”
“We must maintain our composure while the esteemed judges of our nation’s highest court arrive at a verdict, in accordance with the electoral legislation. I reiterate the need for civil discourse among the contenders, as the future is expected to bring better times than today.”
