According to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, President Bola Tinubu has abundant benefits planned for the South East.
It’s worth noting that the Senator for Anambra South in the National Assembly recently abandoned the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to join the leading All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his discussion on the Thursday edition of Channels Television’s Politics Today, Ubah insisted that joining APC will lead to substantial benefits for the region.
Ubah emphasized that Tinubu has shown fairness to the South East, reinforcing the importance of the region’s alignment with the central party to avoid being sidelined.
He mentioned: “When an individual consistently emerges victoriously in elections, it implies the necessity to maintain proximity with your people, amplified by extensive consultations. My decision to join APC was influenced by such consultations and the collective voice of my constituents.
“Observing the current state of APC, you’ll acknowledge that the President (Bola Tinubu) has been extraordinarily just to the South East, irrespective of the election’s voting turnout. The appointment of the Minister of Works (David Umahi), an opportunity which would have been elusive in the past, is indicative of this. More positions are forthcoming, alongside multiple benefits for our people,” he conveyed.
“Therefore, aligning with the central party at this point is imperative to avoid falling behind,” he concluded.
