The top-scoring student of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME), Nkechinyere Kamsiyochukwu Umeh from Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Ogun State, received a financial reward of N2.5m.
On Friday, July 7, this substantial cash gift was presented to Umeh by Erisco Foods Limited’s CEO and President, Dr. Eric Umeofia, according to The Punch.

In addition to Umeh, the CEO also gifted cash prizes to the school principal, four subject matter teachers, and two other top students.
The crowning achievement for Umeh, the 2023 UTME’s top scorer, was her impressive scoring of 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics and 66 in English Language, yielding an overall score of 360.
