On October 9, 2023, famed Nigerian artist, David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, caught headlines for having twins with his spouse, the renowned chef, Chioma.
Despite the report, Davido and his wife have still not confirmed the news, leading Nigerians to wonder if the twins’ arrival is true or false.
A well-known Nigerian minister, Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu, subtly announced the birth through a post on his church’s official Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
The religious leader posted a conversation he allegedly had with Davido.
Muddying the waters further, Davido clarified in a post on X (previously Twitter) that the circulated pictures of him and his wife in a hospital bed were old ones.
Davido also urged his friends and followers to stop circulating these outdated images.
“Please, refraining from sharing past photos, I appreciate your understanding,” the 31-year-old artist commented.
Yet, Afrobeat artist and producer Samklef uploaded a video on X on Friday, presenting Davido alongside Chioma and their twin babies.
“Alright, it’s official now, congratulations to @davido and @thecheffchi on their double joy. One baby boy and one baby girl!” Samklef stated in his post.
