Wesley Girls’ High School was applauded as the top performing all-girls school at the 2023 National Science and Mathematics quiz, bagging the prominent Newmont Africa Award and a monetary prize of GHC20,000.
The distinct honor was received in person by participating students and a number of school officials.
The award was funded by @Newmont_Africa,, acknowledging the impressive performance of Wesley Girls in the contest.
Though they started promisingly, Wesley Girls and St Louis encountered a semi-final defeat to Achimota School. While many hoped for a strong performance from the remaining all-girls schools in the semi-finals, Achimota School remarkably outperformed them.
Looking back at the competition that wrapped up on October 30, 2023, PRESEC triumphantly won, securing their 8th title and achieving their second consecutive victory.
The acclaim earned by Wesley Girls’ High School’s exemplary accomplishments mirrors the school’s dedication and higher standards in science and mathematics.
