In a shocking event at Kusa village in the jurisdiction of Musawa Local Government in Katsina State, a group of outlaws ambushed a Maulud festival congregation, inflicting fatal and non-fatal injuries on women, children, and other participants.
The incident had a toll on eighteen individuals, some of whom are currently at Musawa General Hospital and Katsina Orthopedic Hospital for surgical bullet removal.
The lawbreakers began their assault on the gathering around 11:05 PM on Sunday, causing a number of people to be snatched from the scene.
As per the information, the culprits had already fled the location by the time law enforcement agencies arrived.
The State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, while acknowledging the incident in front of the media, mentioned the count of victims to be eighteen.
“The victims were moved to the hospital for medical aid. However, we lost two of them. We are investigating the matter thoroughly with the intent of arresting the criminals and ensuring they face the law,” stated the PPRO.
