A Facebook user, Wisdom Nwdene, has warned Nollywood actor Yul Edochie of the implications of demanding bride price from his estranged wife, May.
However, the actor insisted in a follow-up post on his Instagram page on Wednesday that May remove his surname from her name in the future.
He wondered why May hasn't dropped his name yet after filing for divorce.
Reacting to Edochie's outburst, Nwedene alluded to Ebonyi State's tradition on the return of bride price.
He claimed that the demand for May's bride price would amount to the loss of the children as her family will have full custody of them.
Nwedene advised the movie star to be careful, except that he does not want the children with May.
Wisdom explained further, saying that the man May chooses to settle down with will be the one to father the children she has for Yul.
He said: “Anyone close to Yul Edochie should tell him that in Ebonyi State, once the relatives return the bride price, the children are no longer his.
